This electrical car does not must be charged due to photo voltaic panels
The American manufacturer Aptera Motors caused a sensation with the introduction of its new fully electric three-wheeler with a record range of up to 1,600 km on a single charge.
In addition to the sleek, bold design, this is mainly thanks to the solar panels that cover the roof of the vehicle. In fact, a continuous solar charge alone should be enough to meet the daily needs of most drivers.
The Aptera EV can already be pre-ordered, although production of the vehicle has not yet started. The first models are expected to be delivered by 2022.
This EV impresses above all with its three-wheeled design. In fact, this Aptera is billed by the manufacturer as a “solar vehicle” rather than a “car”. It promises to be one of the most advanced solar electric vehicles in the world and the first of many. In terms of aerodynamics, the vehicle is characterized by slim, rounded contours and has a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.13. The design has been tweaked to achieve a record range.
On the roof, more than three square meters of solar cells can be configured to provide a range of up to 40 miles per day, which should be sufficient for most drivers. In this case it would not even be necessary to charge the vehicle from one day to the next.
The price of the Aptera vehicle depends on the selected battery capacity. The company offers range options from 400 to 1,600 km. Prices range from $ 25,900 to $ 46,900. A deposit of just $ 100 is required to reserve a model and get noticed on the streets.
