The case was initially investigated as a negligence case, but Judge Matias Parron, who is in charge of the investigation, has turned it into a murder case.

Aldana, the victim’s aunt, told the local media, ‘my sister [the mother of the baby girl] cooked and talked [him] that the meal was ready, then I started to set the table. Jesus had the baby and was playing around with her in the living room. Suddenly I felt a blow on the roof fan and when I looked at him, Jesus had her on his chest with a bloody shirt. ‘

“I told him what did you do? And we rushed out to ask a neighbor for help, to go to the hospital. He told me on the way to the hospital, I haven’t done anything, Aldana, I haven’t done anything. ‘
