The new Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Hardeep Singh Dang, has instructed officials to install solar panels on the roof of state schools. He also instructed choosing a village and developing it as a model village by making himself dependent on solar energy. After the success of this work, the program will be extended to Madhya Pradesh. Dang said that Madhya Pradesh emerged as a pioneering state in solar energy.

He said solar energy helps save traditional energy, is comparatively cheaper, and benefits people who live in remote areas. Dang checked his department’s activities in Mantralaya on Monday. The chief secretary of the department for new and renewable energies, Sanjay Dubey, the general manager Urja Vikas Nigam Deepak Saxena etc. were also present on this occasion. Dang was instructed to finish the Solar Energy Park under construction on a timely basis.

Dang was instructed to complete the Agar Malwa Shajapur Neemuch Solar Park from 1500 megawatts by December 2022, the Omkareshwar Floating Park from 600 megawatts by July 2023, the Chhattarpur Solar Park from 950 megawatts by July 2023 and the Morena Solar Park from 1400 megawatts by October 2023 . He also asked for the installation of 45,000 solar pumps to be completed by July 2023. He said that in a decade the state has made ten advances in solar energy.
