“We shifted our business focus in the past year and are investing a lot in marketing our building-integrated solar modules to the consumer market, as we see enormous potential for beautiful and easy-to-install sunroofs that basically look like normal roofs,” said Sven Lindström. CEO, midsummer.

Solar module orders for the first quarter of this year were SEK 9,870,000, an increase of 551 percent over the same period last year.

“The strong increase in sales during this period is confirmation that we are on the right track. Our attractive roofs have been very well received by customers and demand from both private and commercial property owners is increasing sharply. “

“We are being supported by more conscious customers in terms of both environmental sustainability and design. Our highly efficient production process means that our panels have a carbon footprint that is only a tenth of that of most other panels, ”concludes Lindström.

Midsummer will announce its full quarterly report on May 17th.

Midsummer also develops and markets production systems for solar cells in the form of the DUO system. DUO is the world’s most widely used production system for flexible CIGS solar cells.
